Make Poverty History was just one of 84 national coalitions calling for a breakthrough on poverty in 2005. The global movement is the Global Campaign Against Poverty (GCAP) and it has pledged to continue until at least the end of 2015. The white band continues as the joint symbol of the fight against poverty.
